I owned my first digital camera in about 2002 (Sony DSC P-72), just as they were becoming popular and took up an interest in photography but never seriously considered it. After finishing secondary school, I was presented the daunting task of picking a college and courses that would effectively define my academic life and my career ahead. One of my choices at college was Photography A-Level by OCR and in the second year of this course I purchased my first DSLR, which is the camera I use today. The Canon EOS 400D has never let me down producing absolutely stunning results, even with the stock lens equipped - A full review of the 400D should be available soon - I have never gone back to using compact camera since as the grain the sensor produces and the poor quality of the lenses are jus unacceptable. However, in the near future I may purchase one as a backup as the imaging quality increases.
